A community event -
Includes the traditional Big Parade on Jefferson Boulevard. The
Festival will be held at the So. 600 block of Polk Street
to So. 800 Block of Polk Street & 1000 block of Page Street.
The Big Parade will start at 10 a.m. at 200 S. Cumberland @ 200 E.
Jefferson and end at approximately 11:30 a.m. at Polk & Page Street.
The Main Stage will feature local
talent with dance and musical
performances. We promote local
school and youth groups through their participation in the parade.
The Festival will also have many booths promoting community
organizations and local businesses. There
will be food and refreshments and lots of merchandise and information of
products and services.

Coalition for the Arts presents
This
event is produced and presented by the Oak Cliff Coalition for the Arts,
Inc. (OCCA), a non-profit organization that promotes the arts and

a symphonic work by the Spanish composer Manuel De Falla
recounts the Gypsy
myth of a man who loves his woman so much he refuses to leave her after death.
Poli Reyes choreographs
and
stars in the intense and passionate
flamenco ballet to De Falla's score, and an all star cast of
spanish dancers featuring Timo Lozano, Delilah Buitron, Conté de
Loyo and flamenco singer (cantaora) Chayito.
