VOCAL COLORS:
A VIBRANT COLLAGE OF ARTS ON STAGE

Tuesday, February 9, 7:30 p.m.
Horchow Auditorium

Inspired by the exhibitions All the World’s a Stage and Performance/Art

Don’t miss this memorable multimedia extravaganza, featuring music ranging from Bernstein to Bolcom, Schumann to Sondheim, and Ravel to Rodgers! It will weave together art from the Museum’s collections from all over the world with song, poetry, acting, and dance.

Featured musicians include soprano Ava Pine, mezzo-soprano Jamie Van Eyck, tenor Javier Abreu, bass-baritone Ryan McKinny, and pianist Kathleen Kelly, who have performed with companies as close to home as the Dallas Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and New York City Opera and on the international stages at the Vienna Staatsoper and the Gran Teatro del Liceu in Lisbon.

Together with Dallas-area actors, Flamenco dancer Conté de Loyo with guitarist David Quintana and Alfredo Gonzalez on cajon, and Indian classical dancer Keerti Kirpalani, they celebrate the resonance between the visual and the performing arts. This production marks the sixth collaborative performance between Arts & Letters Live and artistic programmer Ryan Taylor (Secrets of the Sky and Sea, Shakespeare Unplugged).
